Subsequent years saw steady growth and improvement for D&E’s respective rankings, including a 16-spot hurdle between the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years.
Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chair of the Division of Mathematics & Natural Science, Brian Moudry, PhD, adds, “As a faculty, D&E cannot be any prouder and honored to be ranked so high! Each day, we strive to help students unlock their potential and it is so pleasing to know we are helping to prepare our students to lead the way into the future.”
Today, Davis & Elkins College celebrates the No. 15 spot within the division and the No. 18 spot for Top Performers on Social Mobility. Both rankings represent top honors among colleges and universities in West Virginia, with the next highest ranking at No. 30 and No. 28, respectively.
“National recognition by US News & World Report affirms what students and alumni already know, namely that D&E provides a high-quality education in a nurturing environment,” says D&E President Chris A. Wood. “Our rising rank of #15 among ‘Regional Colleges in the South’ and our top ranking in that category within West Virginia is a tribute to the dedicated faculty and staff at this gem of a higher education institution.”
