Davis & Elkins College will recognize student-athlete Matin Eisa in a special Commencement Ceremony on Monday, May 13, at 10:00 a.m. in the Myles Center for the Arts Harper-McNeely Auditorium.
Eisa, majoring in finance and minoring in mathematics, is a member of the D&E Men’s Golf Team. His quality of play has provided the opportunity to participate in NCAA post-season advancement. This, however, has created a scheduling conflict with the traditional Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 11. In an effort to highlight the College’s support of athletic excellence and our commitment to a personalized educational experience, D&E has pioneered this unique event.
Seeking to provide a similar experience to that of the standard ceremony, the special Commencement will feature hooding and diploma dispersal just as fellow graduates received over the weekend. Family, team members, and members of the campus community are encouraged to attend in support of D&E’s distinguished athlete.
